MEDIFORCE is a First Aid Training company based in Waterford City, Waterford, Munster. It delivers and certifies students in Workplace First Aid, Outdoor and Wilderness First Aid. It also delivers PHECC recognized qualifications in First Aid Response and Community First Response. We also deliver courses in Manual Handling, VDU assessments, Mental Health Awareness and Mental Health First Aid . We also offer training in Prevention and Management of Aggression and Violence for health care professionals.
Since 2015 the previous course of Occupational First Aid has now been replaced by First Aid Response (FAR) . First Aid Training is now mandatory under certain circumstances and is governed by the Safety, Health and Welfare Act 2005.
Sean is an independent Adult Educator/Trainer who owns MEDIFORCE. He has in excess of 20 years’ experience in the field of education and instruction, including over 30 years first hand practical knowledge of the delivery of emergency care as a front-line member of the emergency services.
From this role, he now takes this practical knowledge and experience and uses it to provide classroom instruction, evaluates students’ progress and develops their strengths. His special advocacy is Recue Emergency Care being able to draw on decades of experience from both professional and voluntary roles and because of this, he is currently involved in instruction and certification of the REC award system.
Sean’s strengths are helping learners gain confidence, determining their needs through instruction providing them with the necessary skills to deal with incidents in an emergency. As well, he enjoys the challenge of teaching students, interaction with all learners, flexible hours, variety of subject matter inherent in adult education.
Sean earned his qualification through RECFIRSTAID LTD – Rescue Emergency Care Ireland. He is also certified in the delivery and certification of First Aid Response and Community First Responder recognized by PHECC (Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council).
Before starting Mediforce spent 30 years working in the Emergency Services operating in a number of roles that necessitated the delivery of emergency care to those who found themselves becoming suddenly ill or injured. He brings this practical knowledge now to Mediforce.
Despite his busy career in First Aid Training, Sean makes time to be involved with community and professional organizations. He is an active member of Scouting Ireland and Deise Aikido. He is an experienced Sea Angler and also enjoys sea kayaking when time permits.
